Warren Leslie Forrest is a suspected serial killer convicted for the Wightman attempted murder. The other cases against him are still open, active cases. At the time of his arrest on October 2, 1974, he was a husband and father of 2 children. Warren pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder, and was admitted to the Washington State Mental Hospital. In 1979, Warren stood trial for the murder with the most physical evidence, in order to keep him off the streets after his release from the mental hospital. Warren was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in Washington State Penitentiary. However this was before mandatory sentencing laws, and he will be eligible for parole in 2014.
